Extend-A-Hand grab bars are backed by a limited 3-year warranty and a 30-day satisfaction guarantee.
Horizontal wall mounting only. The folding armature locks in the extended position. When stowed, it is held flat against the wall by gravity, which only works in a horizontal installation. Mounting this bar vertically or at an angle allows the arm to swing freely and is not a supported installation.
The 600 lb tested sustained load rating applies to horizontal installation on solid framing. Warranty coverage is void on any bar mounted in a non-horizontal orientation.

Warranty is void if damage resulted from improper installation, non-horizontal mounting, misuse, or acts of nature such as lightning, fire, flood, or insects.
Keep your proof of purchase. Extend A Hand does not retain purchase records.
Warranty does not cover removal or reinstallation labor costs.
Mount horizontally to solid framing. Land both ends on wall studs wherever possible. The model number is the hole-to-hole distance, so a 16S mounts to 16" on-center studs, a 24S to 24" on-center studs, and a 32S spans two 16" bays. The 12S requires 2x4 blocking.
Typical height: 33 to 36 inches from finished floor to the top of the bar. Check local codes and ADA guidance for public or commercial installations.
No solid backing? Add wood blocking behind the wall or relocate to a stud. Do not install into drywall alone.
Do not alter the safety locking mechanism. The locking pins protrude through the end plates by design. Do not tape, block, or modify them.
If you are unsure about your framing or fasteners, hire a qualified installer.
Returns received more than 30 days after delivery are subject to a 20% restocking fee.
Items claimed defective but found problem-free on inspection are subject to a 20% restocking fee, and return shipping is not reimbursed.
If installer or user error caused the problem, no refund will be issued.
